Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional ESL Teacher to support multilingual learners. The role involves delivering targeted ESL instruction, collaborating with content teachers, and aligning instruction to WIDA standards.

You will assist with ACCESS administration and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance ELL outcomes. The position is a long-term substitute with per diem pay, starting 12/07/2026 and ending 05/17/2027, reporting to the principal.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor's degree and MA ESL licensure or equivalent.
• Massachusetts Teaching License in ESL at appropriate grade level is required.
• Fully licensed and Highly Qualified per district standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide ESL instruction to multilingual learners identified as English Learners.
• Collaborate with content teachers to align language development across domains.
• Coordinate with instructional leadership to support ELL students.
• Assist with ACCESS administration and ELL data collection.
• Deliver lessons aligned to WIDA standards for varying proficiency levels.
• Attend professional development to stay current with ELL instruction.
