Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional ESL Teacher to provide instruction to multilingual learners identified as English Learners and collaborate with classroom teachers to align language development with instructional needs.

You will work with administrators and instructional coaches to ensure language support and assist with ACCESS administration, ELL transitions, and ongoing professional development. This role emphasizes equity, cultural proficiency, and technology integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Massachusetts ESL teaching license required.
• Authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.
• Be Highly Qualified according to standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction to Multilingual Learners identified as English Learners.
• Collaborate with content teachers to align language development with classroom instruction.
• Collaborate with instructional leadership and administrators to ensure language support and academic assistance.
• Assist with ACCESS administration and oversight.
• Prepare for and organize ELL student transition meetings.
• Plan and deliver lessons aligned to WIDA Standards for varying proficiency levels.
• Demonstrate cultural proficiency and use of culturally relevant practices.
• Integrate technology as an instructional tool and for productivity.
• Assist with administration of mandated assessments for ELL students.
• Attend district and state professional development to stay current.
