Job summary

The City of Myrtle Beach is seeking an Equipment Operator to maintain and repair city grounds, sewers, streets, and related facilities. You will operate light to medium equipment across golf courses, parks, stormwater, and waste services, performing inspections, basic repairs, and routine maintenance.

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, no experience required though some equipment-operating experience is preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment across golf course, solid waste, water/sewer, parks, stormwater, and streets.
• Adheres to safety procedures and uses protective gear.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections and reports issues.
• Maintains and repairs equipment; performs maintenance on vehicles.
• Performs landscaping duties and related repairs (sidewalks, curbs, mowing).
• Assists with special projects and seasonal work; installs decorations and banners.
