Job summary

The Industrialist in downtown Pittsburgh is seeking a General Manager to lead operations and drive exceptional guest experiences. You will oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, Sales, Engineering, and F&B as needed, shaping revenue strategies and ensuring financial performance.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, analytics, and communication skills, with 3–5 years in hotel management and a track record of managing complex operations in a brand hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience: 3–5 years hotel management, preferably as GM or AGPM, with proven operations and leadership experience.
• Brand hotel experience (Hilton, Marriott, IHG, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Sales, Engineering, and F&B if applicable.
• Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and their teams.
• Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction through consistent service standards.
• Drive revenue and occupancy strategies with Sales and Revenue Management.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and expense control to improve financial performance.
• Ensure adherence to brand standards, safety regulations, and internal policies.
• Review reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with ownership, brand reps, vendors, and community partners.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, evaluations, and employee relations initiatives.
• Respond professionally to guest issues and resolve escalated concerns.
