Job summary

NC State University’s Rave! Catering is seeking an organized Event Coordinator to join our premier campus dining team in Raleigh. You’ll translate event visions into reality, coordinate staff and logistics, and ensure flawless on-site execution with a professional, friendly presence.

The position is temporary with hours varying by events; compensation is about $18 per hour with potential for renewal and advancement to a permanent, benefits-eligible role based on performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers, peers, and supervisors.
• Provide outstanding customer service under pressure.
• Excellent organization and timely data entry.
• Able to collaborate in a team environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.
• Valid NC driver's license; state vehicle provided.

Responsibilities

• Translate event visions into reality by organizing staff and logistics.
• Ensure all linen, forks, and menus are ordered and ready.
• Supervise events on-site; lead small or large service teams.
• Act as the friendly face of Rave! Catering and build client relationships.
• Assist at other campus dining locations when needed.
