Job summary

The Arthur J. Glatfelter YMCA in York, PA is seeking a certified Les Mills BODYCOMBAT Instructor to deliver high-energy group fitness experiences that motivate members and help them reach their goals.

This part-time role supports Monday and Wednesday evenings, delivering safe, engaging sessions that fit our wellness guidelines. You will modify workouts for different fitness levels, maintain the studio setup, and stay current with BODYCOMBAT updates.

Qualifications

• Current Les Mills BODYCOMBAT Instructor Certification required.
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications required.
• One to two years of group fitness instruction experience preferred.
• Strong coaching, communication, and motivational skills.
• Knowledge of exercise modifications and safety best practices.
• Ability to create an engaging experience for all fitness levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging and effective Les Mills BODYCOMBAT classes according to standards.
• Demonstrate proper technique and provide clear, motivating instruction.
• Offer modifications to accommodate varying fitness levels.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages participation and retention.
• Build relationships with members through positive coaching and communication.
• Prepare and maintain the studio environment and equipment.
• Ensure participant safety by following procedures and risk-management practices.
• Track attendance and complete required program documentation.
• Stay current on BODYCOMBAT updates and industry best practices.
