Water's Edge Banquet Center is seeking a proactive Part-Time Banquet Operations Specialist to manage diverse events from planning stages to day-of execution. You will ensure smooth operations, top-notch customer satisfaction, and efficient event processing.

The role involves assisting with event schedules, room setups, beverage services, and vendor access, while supporting the sales team and maintaining records. Shift: Tue-Sun, 4:00 p.m.–12:30 a.m.; holidays included.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen or lawfully authorized to work.
• Associate's degree in Hospitality Management or related field, or two years of applicable experience.
• Serv-Safe certification or obtain within one year.
• First Aid and CPR/AED certification or obtain within one year.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and proficiency with online social media.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be physically able to participate in banquet center setups and operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning work schedules for events at Water's Edge Banquet Center.
• Participate in day-of-event operations: room setups, beverages, rentals, and client/vendor access.
• Help ensure positive customer/event experiences and maximize event revenues.
• Provide top-tier customer service and timely information to clients, vendors, and planners.
• Maintain compliance with city accounting and purchasing policies for vendor contracts.
• Keep detailed event records and documentation.
• Assist with inventory ordering and materials management for the facility.
• Support event marketing and sales efforts as needed.
