Job summary

Pentair in Hanover Park, IL is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing lines with technical expertise, troubleshoot robotics, conveyors, coaters, labelers, and presses, and collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams.

Qualifications include 5+ years in automated manufacturing, experience with meters/oscilloscopes, blueprints, PLC ladder logic, and strong English communication; Spanish is a plus. 2nd shift, $35–$40/hr DOE, with benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use electrical testing devices such as digital multimeter or oscilloscope.
• Experience with electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic/mechanical blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing equipment.
• Experience in robotics programming, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
• Identify root causes and propose proactive improvements.
• Basic working knowledge of PLC programming and ladder logic.
• Strong English communication skills; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing production lines with technical expertise to achieve objectives.
• Provide guidance to operators, cell leads, and Production Manager on projects and issues.
• Troubleshoot robotics, conveyors, coaters, labelers, and presses.
• Adapt to new automation equipment and installations in the facility.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to install and run automation equipment.
• Maintain GMP standards and participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.
• Identify root causes and develop strategies to reduce downtime.
