Job summary

Family Dollar in Redford, Michigan is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development.

Duties include assisting with daily store activities, welcoming customers, organizing merchandise, and helping with opening/closing procedures. You will supervise and train Store Associates, maintain a neat sales floor and stockroom, and ensure policy compliance while delivering a positive, safe shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail or similar environment is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
