Family Dollar in Dearborn Heights, MI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You’ll assist with day-to-day store activities, organize merchandise, and ensure clean, well-stocked floors.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and leadership; you will supervise, train, and develop store associates, uphold policies, and help drive promotional displays while maintaining a safe, positive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers with questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates.
