Job summary

Mounds View Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Gymnastics Coach for the Winter 26-27 season. The assistant will support the head coach in all aspects of the program including try-outs, team selection, practices and games.

Qualified candidates hold a Minnesota coaching certificate (or equivalent), have a strong coaching background, and demonstrate leadership, communication, and community liaison skills. Stipends are paid under the Teacher Labor Agreement Appendix C.

Qualifications

• A valid Minnesota coaching certificate (or alternative qualifications) is required.
• Strong background in and understanding of the specific sport.
• Successful coaching experience strongly preferred.
• Experience building a comprehensive program, developing staff, and managing diverse program-wide elements in accordance with the schoolmission and vision.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the program and the local community.
• Proven experience in teaching and modeling character and responsible behavior.
• Positive, high energy, and committed.
• Partners well with parents, staff, community leaders, etc.
• View success not just as winning; but as helping team members to reach goals.
• Orientation toward continuous improvement and transformational coaching
