Job summary

Willmar Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Gymnastics Coach to oversee the development and success of student-athletes in a gymnastics program. This role includes planning and conducting practice sessions, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.

Requirements

Previous experience in coaching or playing the specific sport/activity, with a strong understanding of the rules, techniques, and strategies.

Knowledge of safety protocols, injury prevention, and first aid, with a commitment to ensuring a safe environment for all participants.

Must have a thorough understanding of MSHSL and District policies and expectations.

Availability to attend practices, games, and other team-related events, including evenings and weekends as required.

Willmar Public Schools is currently seeking applicants for the position of
Assistant Gymnastics Coach.

A Coach is responsible for overseeing the development and success of student-athletes or participants in a specific athletic or activity program. This role includes planning and conducting practice sessions, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants. The Coach collaborates with other staff, maintains communication with parents, and supports the academic and personal growth of students. Additional duties may include assisting with team selection, managing equipment, organizing events or competitions, and representing the program within the school and community.
