Job summary

Minnetonka Community Education is seeking a part-time Gymnastics Coach to support a high-quality program for children ages 3 through 18, including preschool tumbling, beginner through intermediate, and MAGA competition teams.

As an assistant coach, you will assist in coaching on floor, beam, vault, and bars, follow the program curriculum, and help children reach their full potential while upholding district guidelines.

• Experience in gymnastics.
• Evidence of successful coaching experience and knowledge of spotting skills.
• Positive, enthusiastic, respectful attitude.
• Ability to relate well to children and teens as well as parents.
• Ability to work in a collaborative coaching atmosphere.
• Commitment to program's high standards.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching various skill levels and ages on floor, beam, vault, and bars; supervise participants.
• Help all children to develop to their full potential.
• Provide instruction according to the skills identified per class and feedback for improvement.
• Follow program curriculum, goals and guidelines.
• Ensure that all participants follow Minnetonka School District guidelines and code of conduct.
• Participate in coach training sessions.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
