Job summary

Pinellas County is seeking an Airport Landside Operations Agent to support terminal operations at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport. You’ll assist travelers, manage crowds, and respond to emergencies, operating within a safety-focused environment.

The role requires strong communication skills, experience in security operations, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on rotating shifts. A federal security clearance is required within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Two years of airport/security operations experience or equivalent education.
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive situations.
• Ability to follow procedures and work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and guidance to travelers and tenants courteously.
• Monitor terminal flow and curbside traffic, including TSA and customs areas.
• Manage crowds using barriers and stanchions to ensure safety.
• Deliver high-level customer service to public and stakeholders.
• Respond to information requests and resolve issues or complaints.
• Inspect facilities for hazards and safety issues; submit work orders.
