Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking an Operations Agent to oversee daily airport operations, coordinate with departments, and help ensure smooth, compliant performance from runway to gate.

The role requires strong communication, a willingness to work varied shifts, and experience in airport operations or related fields. You will interact with airline staff, ground crews, and airport personnel to support efficient passenger flow and safety.

Qualifications

18 years of age or older.
Eligible to work in the United States.
Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Minimum of 1 year of experience in airport operations or a related field.
Pass a background check and drug screen.
Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs - as applicable)
Airlines are 24/7, so shifts including nights, weekends and holidays may be required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily operational activities within the airport.
Monitor and manage flight schedules, gate assignments, and airport resources.
Liaise with airline representatives, ground crew, and air traffic control.
Ensure compliance with all aviation regulations and safety standards.
Respond to operational issues and emergencies promptly.
Provide timely information to staff and passengers regarding flight status and changes.
Manage passenger boarding and disembarking processes.
Oversee baggage handling and resolve related issues.
Coordinate with maintenance teams for aircraft and facility upkeep.
Assist in implementing emergency response plans and protocols.
Monitor weather conditions and their impact on flight operations.
Prepare and maintain accurate operational reports and logs.
Participate in training and development programs related to airport operations.
Ensure a high level of customer service and passenger satisfaction.
Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
