Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities.
• Good communication with kids and parents.
• Have 48 college credits completed or pass an academic proficiency exam.
• TB test and Live Scan background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome kids to the program at the end of their school day.
• Organize and lead activities, including homework help, recreation games, arts and crafts, and educational projects.
• Join in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
• Create unique clubs for students (career readiness, cooking, anime, dance, etc.).
• Maintain a secure environment by following safety protocols and supervising group dynamics.
• Oversee the safety and well-being of students during after-school activities.
• Encourage participation and adapt activities to diverse needs and interests.
