Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities.
• Strong communication skills; talk to kids and parents comfortably.
• College transcripts showing 48+ college credits or pass an academic proficiency exam.
• TB test with negative result and Live Scan background check.
• Bilingual English-Spanish resumes stand out.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome kids at the end of the school day.
• Organize and lead activities including homework help, enrichment, arts/crafts, and projects.
• Join in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
• Create and run clubs for students (career readiness, cooking, anime, dance, etc.).
• Maintain a secure environment by following safety protocols and managing group dynamics.
• Oversee safety and well-being during after-school activities.
• Encourage participation and adaptability to meet diverse needs.
