Job summary

University Settlement Society of New York is seeking a part-time after-school program coordinator to support day-to-day operations of summer camps, recess and afterschool activities in New York City.

You will work closely with the Director, supervise staff, assist with parent outreach, enrollment records, and coordination with school-day staff to ensure alignment with curricula. A HS diploma + experience is required; a 4-year degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required with 5 years of after-school experience.
• Experience supervising or coordinating programs for youth.
• Strong written, phone, and in-person communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with team and communicate via email with all team members.
• Assist Director in overseeing day-to-day operations of summer day camp, recess and afterschool programs.
• Attend meetings and assist with parent outreach daily when children are not in attendance.
• Supervise group leaders, tutors, Outreach Coordinator, and support staff.
• Coordinate with school-day staff to align after-school activities with curriculum.
