The role requires a Bachelor's degree, Texas teaching certification, and ESL training within one year. Candidates should demonstrate subject mastery, collaboration, and strong classroom management to support district goals and student achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned.
• Teaching certification held in multiple areas is preferred.
• Teachers must obtain ESL Certification within one year of employment.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum with prep documentation.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations for different learning styles.
• Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines, policies, and regulations.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials reflecting students’ needs.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to plan activities.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Coordinate with staff to set instructional goals and methods.
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers as assigned.
• Use technology to strengthen teaching and learning.
• Lead extracurricular activities as assigned.
• Be a positive role model and support the district mission.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate development.
• Manage student behavior per the Student Code of Conduct.
• Protect students, equipment, and facilities.
• Assist in selecting books and instructional materials.
• Establish open communication with parents, students, principals, and teachers.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and community.
• Present information clearly and accurately.
• Participate in staff development and stay compliant with regulations.
• Maintain district records and attend faculty meetings; serve on committees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
