Job summary

Comal ISD is seeking a dedicated classroom teacher to deliver instruction in the core subject area. You will develop engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and collaborate with special education staff to support diverse learners.

Responsibilities include planning, using data to guide instruction, maintaining classroom environment, and communicating with parents, staff, and district stakeholders. A Texas teaching certificate and ESL endorsement are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the subject and level.
• ESL Certification within one year of employment.
• Teaching certification in multiple areas is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and requirements.
• Accommodate differences in student learning styles with differentiated lessons.
• Present subject matter according to TEA, policies, and regulations.
• Plan and use instructional strategies reflecting learners' needs.
• Assess student learning styles and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff for IEP modifications.
• Determine goals and methods with staff per district requirements.
• Plan and supervise teacher aides and volunteers.
• Utilize technology to strengthen teaching and learning.
• Establish open communication with parents, students, principals, and teachers.
• Participate in staff development and district meetings.
• Maintain district records and learn retention schedules.
