Job summary

Lear Corporation in Kentucky is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee the dyeing and finishing process, ensure safety, quality, and on-time production.

You will lead production teams, coordinate with engineering, drive continuous improvement, implement SOPs, and train staff to meet customer standards daily.

This role requires strong problem solving, the ability to manage priorities, and a commitment to Lean manufacturing and six sigma initiatives.

Qualifications

• Understanding of textile manufacturing methods and defects.
• Problem solving using 8D and PPS techniques.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient PC skills including Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Lean methods: 5S, SMED, standard work, visual mgmt, and waste reduction.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety standards and enforce them with the team.
• Plan, monitor, and appraise job results; coach and discipline as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement to safely reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Maintain workflow, monitor variables, and schedule personnel.
• Coordinate with Launch/Product Engineering for new products.
• Ensure changes are controlled via engineering change processes.
• Maintain quality standards and stop processing if quality is not met.
• Provide production data and reports; support KPI tracking.
• Organize procedures and train staff on deviations and fixes.
• Oversee strike-offs, carton usage, and job instructions compliance.
