Western Veterinary Partners offers externships that let veterinary students gain real-world experience by applying classroom knowledge in a clinical setting. Students in any year can apply for an externship with a WVP Practice as part of their clinical year externship blocks or for informal externship experience.

As an extern, you’ll receive a $1,000 stipend and hands-on experience across diverse practices—from AAHA-accredited hospitals to exotics/avian services—across the United States.

Qualifications

• Vet students in any grade may apply for an externship.
• Externships are offered through WVP practices across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience by applying classroom knowledge in a clinical setting.
• Learn client communication, case management, and clinical procedures under supervision.
