Western Veterinary Partners offers externships across its network of practices in the United States. Veterinary students in any grade can apply for an externship with a WVP Practice as part of their clinical year externship blocks or for informal externship experience.

Externs receive a $1,000 stipend and have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across environments, including small animal, mixed animal, dental, and exotics, with potential to join a practice after graduation.

Qualifications

• No formal prerequisites listed; externship opportunities available for veterinary students in any grade.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience by supporting supervising veterinarians in client communication, patient histories, and case management.
• Observe or assist in clinical procedures and in-house diagnostics while developing professional skills and time management.
