Job summary

Family Pathways in Cambridge, MN seeks a Part-time Domestic Violence Shelter Advocate to provide crisis intervention, direct service, and advocacy for residents in a shelter setting. You will operate on an evenings/weekends schedule and participate in trauma-informed care as part of a mission-driven team.

Responsibilities include 24-hour crisis line calls screening, intake within 24 hours, coordinating personal/legal advocacy, planning resident groups, and ensuring a welcoming, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Must have clean MVR and pass fingerprint background check.
• Ability to transport residents when necessary.
• Competence in trauma-informed care and de-escalation.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention and direct service to shelter residents.
• Receive and triage calls on a 24-hour crisis line.
• Coordinate intake within 24 hours of entry and orient residents to shelter.
• Facilitate resident groups and activities as directed.
• Assist in planning personal/legal advocacy and case reviews with staff.
• Maintain a welcoming, safe, and healing environment.
