Job summary

Family Pathways in Cambridge, MN is seeking a Part-Time Shelter Advocate for evenings and weekends to support residents of a domestic violence shelter. The role involves crisis intervention, direct service, and systems advocacy guided by our guiding principles.

You will provide intake within 24 hours of entry, facilitate group activities, support residents with problem-solving and de-escalation, and help coordinate personal/legal advocacy in collaboration with shelter staff.

Qualifications

• Provides crisis intervention and advocacy for shelter residents.
• Experience with trauma-informed care and trauma-informed approaches.
• Ability to complete intake and orientation within 24 hours of entry.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention and direct service to residents.
• Coordinate personal/legal advocacy with staff and residents.
• Assist with intake forms and orient residents to shelter services.
• Plan and facilitate resident groups and activities as directed.
• Provide transportation for residents when necessary.
