Job summary

360 Communities in Eagan, MN is seeking a Shelter Advocate (Crisis Support) to provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and emotional support to domestic violence and sexual assault victims at Lewis House and in the community.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related experience working with victims of domestic and/or sexual violence.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
• Completion of 40-hour sexual assault training prior to employment is preferred, but will help obtain if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, emotional support, information, referrals, and supportive services to victims/survivors and their families.
• Provide holistic advocacy services and resources, including safety planning, housing, financial, legal (excluding legal advice), and community connections.
• Complete follow-ups from police reports/calls and forensic exams; assist with initial needs and protective orders if applicable.
• Participate in shelter duties, including housekeeping, donations, volunteer coordination, and data recording for service delivery and reporting.
