Job summary

North Country Healthcare is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse (OR Circulator & PACU) in a full-time role within Surgical Services. You will function across intraoperative Circulator and PACU phases, coordinating care, maintaining asepsis, and collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia teams.

Requires RN licensure, ADN, and BLS/ACLS; CNOR/CPAN/CAPA preferred. New grads enrolled in perioperative training may apply.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in the state of practice
• ADN required; BSN preferred
• BLS and ACLS are required; PALS preferred; CNOR and/or CPAN/CAPA are preferred but not required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in PACU, OR, critical care, or emergency nursing; new grads may apply if enrolled in perioperative training program

Responsibilities

• Intraoperative duties as Circulator: advocate for patient, verify preoperative steps, maintain sterility, assist with supplies and equipment, coordinate with surgical/anesthesia teams, document intraoperative events
• Post-anesthesia duties in PACU: monitor patients emerging from anesthesia, assess airway/vital signs/neuro status, manage pain and hemodynamics, provide education to patient and family, coordinate transfers or discharge, document recovery
• Maintain safety and compliance with perioperative standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimize workflow and patient outcomes
