Job summary

North Country Healthcare is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse to fulfill Circulator and PACU roles, coordinating intraoperative care and managing recovery with focus on patient safety throughout the surgical continuum.

The role requires an active RN license, ADN with BSN preferred, BLS/ACLS required (PALS/CNOR/CPAN/CAPA preferred). Minimum 1 year PACU/OR/CCU/ED experience; new grads considered if enrolled in perioperative training.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice is required.
• ADN is required; BSN preferred.
• BLS and ACLS are required; PALS is preferred; CNOR/CPAN/CAPA preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in PACU/OR/CCU/ED; new grads considered if enrolled in perioperative training.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the patient advocate during the surgical procedure.
• Perform and document preoperative verification and time-out.
• Maintain sterile technique and aseptic field integrity.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to optimize workflow.
• Document intraoperative events and postoperative recovery accurately.
• Manage post‑op pain and hemodynamic stability; monitor patient status.
