Job summary

Paylocity is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR / PACU) to provide safe perioperative care across preoperative, intraoperative, and post-anesthesia recovery. This role primarily functions as a circulating nurse in a fast-paced surgical environment.

You will collaborate with the surgical team, support PACU operations, and assist with continuous coverage to meet department needs while adhering to regulatory standards and infection prevention guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Kansas or compact license eligible.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ASN/BSN).
• Minimum of one year perioperative nursing experience preferred; PACU/ICU experience strongly preferred.
• BLS certification current; ACLS and PALS preferred or required within designated timeframe.
• Successful completion of hospital orientation and annual education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as circulating RN to coordinate with surgical team and ensure patient safety.
• Support PACU operations and provide coverage as needed to maintain continuity of care.
• Maintain strict sterile technique and comply with surgical safety protocols (time-outs, counts).
• Document perioperative care accurately in the EHR and assist with case charging and regulatory compliance.
