Job summary

Callista Surgery Center in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our perioperative team as a PACU and OR circulator. The RN will ensure safe, high-quality care across the perioperative experience, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Ideal candidates have strong perioperative nursing experience, solid clinical judgment, and the ability to transition between OR and PACU responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program required.
• Current and unrestricted California RN license required.
• Ambulatory surgery center, plastic surgery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform circulating nurse duties for procedures per policies and standards.
• Prepare OR, verify patient identity, procedure, site, consent, allergies and documentation.
• Coordinate preoperative verification and surgical timeout processes.
• Document intraoperative nursing care accurately in medical records.
• Monitor safety, asepsis, infection control, and equipment readiness in OR.
• Provide Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing care and discharge planning.
• Assess and manage postoperative pain, nausea, and complications.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the team promptly.
