Job summary

NORPAC is seeking an Electrician & Instrumentation Technician (Powers & Control) to join the maintenance team at its Longview facility. This safety-sensitive role requires teamwork, strong communication, and a willingness to learn new crafts within a tier-based system.

Entry and experienced tracks focus on electrical and instrumentation skills, including PLCs, drive systems, and control valves. The position offers progression and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Completion of an electrical or instrumentation apprenticeship or have graduated from a two-year program in Industrial Electricity/Electronics or Instrumentation.
• Followed safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and electrical safety standards.
• Experience with PLCs, motor controls, or instrumentation systems through coursework or training.
• Knowledge of electro pneumatics and hydraulics and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with hand tools, multimeters, and basic test equipment.
• Ability to maintain organized work areas and tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical and instrumentation systems in a paper mill environment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, motor controls, valves, and instrumentation.
• Follow safety practices and document work per procedures.
