Job summary

Right Hook Digital, a leading DTC eCommerce growth agency, is hiring a Retention/Email Strategist (US-Based, Remote). You’ll own lifecycle strategies for 6-8 brands, diagnose health, identify revenue opportunities, and guide a dedicated pod including an email specialist and a designer.

Responsibilities include shaping flows and campaigns, presenting strategy to clients, and driving growth metrics like LTV and CAC payback. Salary ranges reflect market norms for US-based remote roles.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on Klaviyo experience managing DTC eCommerce accounts (flows, campaigns, segmentation, deliverability, etc.)
• Proven track record of driving measurable retention results for real brands (outcomes over activities)
• Strong commercial instinct—think revenue and profit, not just opens/clicks
• Client-facing experience—comfortable owning the relationship and presenting strategy
• Experience directing a small team or pod
• Strong project management—meet deadlines without prodding
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• SMS experience via Klaviyo or Postscript is a plus
• Familiarity with analytics tools beyond Klaviyo (e.g., Hiro Analytics, Triple Whale) is a bonus

Responsibilities

• Own the retention strategy across client portfolio (flows, campaigns, segmentation, SMS, lifecycle health)
• Use data to identify high-leverage opportunities and build a plan to capture them
• Brief and direct your pod to ensure smooth execution
• Lead client relationships with monthly reporting and strategy presentations
• Connect retention work to LTV, repeat purchase rate, CAC payback, and contribution margin
• Collaborate with paid social and Google pods on multi-channel clients
• Stay ahead of platform changes and emerging tools in the DTC retention space
