Job summary

BritBox in New York is seeking a Content Acquisition Coordinator for the DTC team. You will work with distributors to secure finished tape programming for the North American market, supporting acquisition strategies and workload planning.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years in streaming, a basic grasp of rights terms, and an ability to interpret contracts. This role offers growth within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in the streaming industry.
  • Basic understanding of streaming industry rights/terms is a plus.
  • Basic ability to interpret contracts and understand negotiation principles is a plus.
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies is a plus.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard hours to accommodate international colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Track content submissions, logging status and feedback.
  • Collaborate with Scheduling & Planning to support buying strategy.
  • Coordinate materials and field questions from distributors.
  • Maintain rights database for deals and contracts.
  • Develop standardized internal workflows to improve efficiencies.
  • Track industry trends and summarize opportunities for executives.
  • Coordinate team reviews of finished tape submissions.
  • Aid in evaluating subscriber insights to iterate deals.
  • Manage team access for screening sites and competitive services.
  • Attend screenings and events as recommended.

Education

Bachelor's degree in media studies or related field
