Job summary

Disney’s Direct to Consumer (DTC) organization seeks a Director, Content Partnerships in Santa Monica to lead negotiations for content distribution agreements and manage key external partner relationships. You will coordinate with internal teams on deal terms, financial analysis, and strategic alignment while mentoring junior staff and guiding cross-functional initiatives.

Travel of 10–15% is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of content licensing and acquisition experience in TV or streaming.
• 5+ years of relationship management with a media/tech focus.
• Experience licensing and distributing content with networks or studios.
• Ability to translate business objectives for stakeholders across product, finance, legal, and accounting.
• Strong negotiations and cross-functional leadership.
• Proven financial modeling and presentation skills (PowerPoint and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations for renewals of content distribution agreements with major third-party services and add-ons.
• Oversee internal deal processes including financial analysis, contract review, and cross-department signoffs.
• Ensure partnerships reflect global strategy and optimized deal structures.
• Manage relationships with significant content partners and drive promotional initiatives and onboarding.
• Prepare economic offers via financial modeling and analyze partner performance.
