Job summary

Crest Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional Mentor in a full-time leadership role. You will mentor DSP staff, provide direct support, and help residents pursue personal goals with a focus on independence and dignity.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum one year of leadership and direct care experience with individuals with disabilities or seniors
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to train, mentor, and support team members
• Medication Management Certification required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support, supervision, and protective oversight to individuals
• Promote independence and assist individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with activities of daily living while ensuring safety and dignity
• Train, onboard, and mentor new Direct Support Professionals
• Provide coaching and guidance to help DSPs succeed in their roles
• Collaborate with team leads on staffing and performance concerns
• Serve as a communication link between families, administration and individuals served
• Maintain a positive, professional workplace culture
• Support high-quality, person-centered services
