Job summary

Crest Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional Mentor to lead and train DSP teams within a home setting. You will mentor staff while providing hands-on support to residents, promoting independence and safety.

The role emphasizes person-centered care, strong communication, and collaboration with leadership to ensure high-quality services. It is a full-time, daytime schedule in a faith-based nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience and direct care experience working with individuals with disabilities or adults age 65 and older.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance in the state of employment.
• Medication Management Administration Certificate required within 90 days of hire.
• Active Mandatory Reporter Certification preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support, supervision, and protective oversight to individuals served.
• Promote independence and help individuals accomplish their personal goals.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) while ensuring safety, dignity, and respect.
• Onboard, train, coach, and mentor new Direct Support Professionals assigned to your home.
• Serve as a positive role model and resource for DSP team members.
• Collaborate with the Team Lead or Assistant Manager regarding staffing, attendance, and performance concerns.
• Act as a liaison between families, administration, staff, and individuals served to promote consistent, quality care.
• Maintain strong communication and teamwork within the home.
• Help foster a positive, professional team culture focused on person-centered care.
• Promote consistency in daily routines, expectations, and quality of services.
