Job summary

All’s Well Healthcare in California offers a statewide, paid 3‑month shadow training program for Direct Service Professional (DSP) Interns. You will shadow a DSP mentor for up to 30 hours per week, gaining hands‑on experience to support adults with developmental needs and work toward permanent employment possibilities.

Your duties vary by individual, including empowering clients, aiding communication and daily living skills, promoting community participation, and supporting education and career

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) or a Certificate of Completion.
• Must have a valid Identification Card or Driver’s License.
• Must pass a background check and other required health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals feel empowered and respected.
• Support communication and social interaction.
• Assist with daily living skills (e.g. cooking, hygiene, transportation).
• Encourage and support participation in community activities.
• Facilitate access to services and resources.
• Support education, job readiness, and career goals.
• Promote health and wellness.
• Advocate for individual rights and inclusion.
• Help build and maintain meaningful relationships.
• Document services and progress.
• Ensure the person remains at the center of all decision-making.
