Job summary

Alls Well Healthcare partners with the California DDS to offer a statewide, paid 3-month shadow training program for Direct Service Professional (DSP) Interns. You will shadow a DSP mentor for up to three months at 30 hours per week, learning to support adults with diverse developmental needs and helping them live more independently.

Responsibilities vary by individual, including empowering participants, helping with daily living skills, promoting health, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) or a Certificate of Completion.
• Must pass a background check and other required health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Shadow staff under a DSP mentor to learn roles and responsibilities.
• Assist individuals with daily living skills such as cooking, hygiene, and transportation.
• Support communication, social interaction, and participation in community activities.
• Document services and progress, ensuring person-centered decision-making.
