HopeTree Family Services in Henrico, Virginia, is seeking a Direct Support Professional I to assist individuals with IDD in daily living activities and growth. The DSP will work closely with the Manager to plan daily activities and provide person-centered supports.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED; preferred experience in mental health or related fields. Flexible full-time/part-time scheduling may be required, including occasional evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant human services education is preferred.
• Preferred experience in mental health, special education, behavior support, or related field.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to represent the agency positively in the community.

Responsabilités

• Provide day-to-day activities support and help individuals with daily living to promote growth.
• Plan daily activities in collaboration with the Manager and recipients.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of program locations and report maintenance needs.
• Complete required progress notes and support services documentation.
• Attend team meetings and participate in coaching to ensure consistent service.
