Job summary

ViaQuest is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide in-home care for individuals with developmental disabilities in Ohio. Training is provided in full, so no prior experience is required, though experience is welcome.

The role focuses on fostering independence, safety, and daily living support. Benefits for full-time employees include medical/vision/dental insurance, a 401k, PTO, holiday pay, mileage reimbursement, annual raises, and a variety of flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• At least 1 year experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served required.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
• No OVI/DUI's, reckless operations, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over posted limit
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years or more than 5 points

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities - our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.
