Job summary

ViaQuest Residential Services is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in Ohio to provide direct care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and their homes.

No prior experience is required as comprehensive training is provided, including CPR, First Aid and Medication Administration certifications; you will help promote independence, safety and wellbeing while supporting daily living activities and personal care.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal, reliable vehicle to transport individuals served.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria (no OVI/DUI, no reckless operations, or speeding violations >20 MPH over limit).
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities to foster independence, choice and empowerment while ensuring health and safety.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of daily life.
• Completing household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.

Direct Support Professional (DSP)

$18.25-$19.25 per hour

At ViaQuest Residential Services our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety so no experience is required.

• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
  • No OVI/DUI's, reckless operations, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over posted limit
  • No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years or more than 5 points
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
• Personal vehicle to transport individuals is required
