Job summary

ViaQuest Residential Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Ohio. You will provide direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and in their homes.

Training is provided in its entirety, so no experience is required. The role offers $18.25-$19.25 per hour, with paid training, a benefits package for full-time employees (medical, vision, dental, disability and life insurance and a 401k), PTO, annual pay increases, varied schedules

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal, reliable vehicle to transport individuals served.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities; promote independence, choice and empowerment while ensuring health and safety.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of life.
• Completing household tasks including meal preparation and keeping living areas clean and safe.

Requirements for this position include:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
  • No OVI/DUI's, reckless operations, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over posted limit
  • No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years or more than 5 points
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
