Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with IDD in their homes and community settings in Jacksonville, NC. The role is part-time, afternoon/after-school hours, with local travel required.

You will help with daily tasks, personal care, and transportation while documenting care in our electronic health system and supporting families with flexible scheduling and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols.
• Reliable transportation, driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
• Technology: comfortable with electronic health records.

Responsabilités

• Provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in.
• Assist with housekeeping, meals, personal care, and employment support.
• Transport the client to appointments and run errands.
• Help plan and organize the client's schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system.
