Job summary

Verland is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Float to provide individualized care for residents with complex needs in the Pittsburgh area. The role is hourly, non-exempt, and involves rotating shifts including three weekend shifts per month and travel between locations within the region.

The DSP Float will support daily living activities, assist with meals, hygiene, transportation, and participate in activity planning. 2 weeks of paid training is provided by Verland.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must pass a complete Background, Physical, and Drug screening.
• Experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support the lives of residents in a safe, healthy environment.
• Encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Implement individualized programs; record observations and progress notes.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities.
• Assist with meals and housekeeping tasks; perform laundry.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
