Job summary

Verland in the Hermitage area is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Float to provide individualized care for residents with complex needs. This hourly, non-exempt role offers a starting wage of $20 per hour and a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

The DSP Float serves as a regional staffing resource, covering designated sites, with 3 weekend shifts per month and a minimum of 32 hours per week, plus two weeks of paid training and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care and support to residents with physical, medical and intellectual challenges.
• Implement daily living skills and support plans; document observations and progress notes.
• Assist with meals, hygiene, transportation, and house activities.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Maintain a safe, clean and supportive environment.
