Job summary

Verland Foundation Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Float in the Hermitage area. This hourly, non-exempt role serves as a regional staffing resource to cover designated residential locations within the region, including at least 32 hours per week and three weekend shifts per month.

The position supports residents with complex needs, assists with daily living, and transports clients as required. Training provided; benefits package included upon full-time status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass background, physical, and drug screening.
• Experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage at designated residential locations within the region.
• Work a minimum of 32 hours per week including 3 weekend shifts per month.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Assist with meals and personal hygiene; perform housekeeping duties.
• Administer medications and follow daily care plans.
• Record observations and daily progress notes; participate in planning activities.
• Support social, home, and recreational activities.
