Job summary

Help at Home is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities in homes and communities. The role focuses on helping clients live independently with compassionate, reliable care.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living skills, encouraging social participation, documenting progress, and communicating with the care team to ensure consistent support. A strong orientation to safety and dignity is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background check and required training.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance.
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients’ homes and communities.
• Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.
• Assist with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, personal care, transportation).
• Encourage participation in social and community activities and help individuals achieve personal goals.
• Promote choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
• Accurately document care, activities, and progress.
• Communicate with team members to ensure consistent, quality support.
