Job summary

AHRC New York City is seeking Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for their Bronx Day Program. Pay rate: $20 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits packet. Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm with bonuses available based on driving status.

This role supports participants in developing social and daily living skills, with opportunities for growth within a supportive team and ongoing paid training.

Qualifications

• Personal and/or professional experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to communicate both orally and in written form in English is required.
• Driver's license for more than one year in good standing preferred.
• Knowledge of Home and Community Based Waiver and related knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with participants by assisting them to learn and develop social skills, daily living skills and habits.
• Accompany participants to appointments, community outings, and other activities.
• Complete progress notes and entries into the daily log book.

Job Description

AHRC New York City is seeking Full-Time (35 hours per week) Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for their Bronx Day Program.

Pay Rate: $20 per hour plus a very generous and comprehensive Benefit packet. See additional Benefit information below.

In addition, Bonuses listed below are available depending on driving status and program needs.

• $2,000 annually upon completion and passing of AHRC Defensive Driving class
• $2,000 annually upon completion of AMAP training.

Schedule - Monday - Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm.
