Job summary

AHRC New York City is hiring Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for the Adult Day Program in Staten Island. The role requires a valid NY driver’s license and ability to drive a small van. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm (35 hours/week).

Annual pay rate is $18/hour with a comprehensive benefits package and program-specific bonuses. Benefits include paid training, health insurance options, PTO, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Requires valid NY or Tri-State driver’s license.
• Experience driving a small van is a plus.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Understanding of Person Centered Planning.
• Flexible schedule to meet participant needs.
• Ability to communicate in English, both oral and written.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.

• Support individuals with disabilities in leading self-directed lives and becoming active members of their communities.
• Oversee safety and health considerations for participants.
• Promote skill development, interests and hobbies.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).

Job Description

AHRC New York City is seeking Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) who have a valid Driver's License and are comfortable driving a small van, for their Adult Day Program in Staten Island. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm (35 hours per week). Upon completion and passing of AHRC NYC Defensive Driving class if driving is needed, hours may vary. Pay rate: $18 per hour plus a very generous and comprehensive Benefit packet. See additional Benefit information below.
