Job summary

AHRC New York City is seeking Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for our Adult Day Program in Staten Island. You will assist individuals with disabilities to lead self-directed lives and participate in the community.

The role offers a consistent schedule, training, and a benefits package. A valid NY or Tri-State driver's license is required, and driving a small van is supported. Pay is $18 per hour with paid training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid NY or Tri-State Driver's license, in good standing.
• Experience driving a small van is a plus.
• Personal and/or professional experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• High School diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with disabilities in leading self-directed lives and becoming active members of their communities.
• The oversight of all safety and health considerations.
• Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies.
• Assisting with activities of daily living(ADLs).

Job Description

AHRC New York City is seeking Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) who have a valid Driver's License and are comfortable driving a small van, for their Adult Day Program in Staten Island.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm (35 hours per week). Upon completion and passing of AHRC NYC Defensive Driving class if driving is needed, hours may vary.

Pay rate: $18 per hour plus a very generous and comprehensive Benefit packet. See additional Benefit information below.

In addition, the following Bonuses are available depending on Programs needs.

• $2,000 annually upon completion and passing of AHRC Defensive Driving class
• $2,000 annually upon completion of AMAP training
